Keep track of your friends, family, vehicles by GPS

My phone sometimes takes a long time pickup my location when I am outside. Why is this?

Some phones can take a while to get a gps fix if it has not had one in a long time. This can vary depending on the frequency and mode you have your phone set to. GPS requires a good level of access to the sky in order for a valid location to be obtained easily. If this is not possible, devices can take a while searching for satellites with which to fix to.

In order to obtain a fix as quickly as possible ensure the phone has no obstacles between it and the sky whenever leaving your building. However, if the unit is on StopConnect mode this can vary dependant on your interval setting as the GPS only gets turned on as required to save battery.
